As the general manager and vice president of International Sales, Pedro Paixão leads a team of more than 500 employees in Latin America and the Caribbean. Paixão joined Fortinet as the Latin American regional director in 2007. Since then, he has been responsible for establishing a strong regional presence, broadening the company’s network of channel partners for increased sales and enhancing operational activities in the region. Under his management, the team has grown into a highly successful division, with annual sales consistently exceeding targets. Paixão manages sales, engineering, marketing and technical support organizations in 29 countries. He has more than 25 years of experience working with leading cybersecurity companies, where he has held executive positions in both the tech and sales areas. Paixão graduated from the Instituto Superior Técnico in Portugal with a specialization in Electrotechnical and Computer Science Engineering. He began his career by co-founding Sulnet, an Internet Service Provider and integrator and distributor of information technology systems, followed by two other companies in the same field, Sol-S and Netmaster. He was also the previous Systems Engineer at Check Point. Since then, Paixão has won numerous awards for his work in developing security and software technologies. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
