As Fortinet's Vice President Service Providers Latin America and the Caribbean, João Horta is responsible for the commercial issues of the cybersecurity company's relationship with the most important telecommunication services companies in the region. Among others, these issues include supporting these companies in their secure transformation toward new technologies such as 5G and EDGE Computing, as well as in developing alliances to enable and train them in offering managed networking and advanced security services to customers across all markets in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Mr. Horta has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and cybersecurity industries, specialized in sales, negotiation, business strategy and team management with strong technical skills. Before joining Fortinet in 2015, he held various leadership positions at leading companies in the telecommunications and technology sectors including NOS SGPS, Optimus Comunicações, and Telecel.
Mr. Horta graduated from the Lisbon Higher Technical Institute as a Telecommunications Engineer and holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the ISCTE-IUL / INDEG Business School.
